 Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies-BILS, devotes the endeavors for protecting the rights of working people and enhancing the capacity of trade unions, invites applications from qualified persons for the following position: 

Project Director (Senior Position)-1

 Core Competences:

  • The candidate should have Masters Degree in any discipline from a recognized university and should be knowledgeable on national and international instruments on human rights, workers rights and other relevant development agendas.
  • S/he should have at least 10 years experience in government / non-government / international organizations at managerial level especially in the field of project design, implementation, reporting, high-level communication, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • The incumbent must have professional poise, maturity, and self-confidence to make pragmatic judgments and to work independently and goal oriented;  
  • Good knowledge on staff supervision, mentoring, coaching and development;
  • Have knowledge about budget preparation, monitoring of expenses, report preparation at the different stage of the project;
  • Hardworking and have good interpersonal relationship and ability to work and coordinate different projects activities;
  • Conditions may be relaxed in case of very competent and experienced candidate;
  • Age between 35 to 50 years.

Tasks dispensed to the post:

-     Ensure project implementation with maximum efficiency and    professionalism;

-     Lead the various projects team with a clear vision for the projects goal,

      empowering/ support them to deliver high quality outcome;

-     Day to day coordination of project activities;

-     Represent the project to the parties and programmes concerned;

-     Responsible for monitoring, reporting and evaluating of the project activities;

-     Design new projects for donors.

 

 Salary per Month: 40,000/- (including all )

Senior Accounts Officer: (Senior Position) - 1

 Requirements:

- The candidate should have a Masters degree in Finance/ Accounting

- At least 7 years experience in financial and accounting operations in government   /  non-government / international organizations.

- S/he should have expertise in using the Accounts Management System Software.

- S/he should also expertise in maintenance of audits, budget preparation,    evaluation, and overall finance administration.

Tasks dispensed to the post:

- S/he will be responsible to lead and manage financial operation of the organisation

- Financial issues including preparation of donor budget, donor report and meet timely audit

- Assist the purchase committee

- Ensure deduction of VAT/TAX

- Ensure financial training/ workshop/ and meeting for existing staff when required  

- Make all bank transfer for organisation and ensure updating books & records 

- Maintain and monitor day to day books of accounts properly

- Proven skills in preparation of fund request and reports 

- Maintaining project accounts both in manual and software system

- Preparing regular financial statements and reports and review quarterly forecasts

- Contributing to the project monitoring and evaluation process through appropriate provision of financial reports, information and analysis   

- Review and check accounting transactions to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.

- Assist in monitoring treasury control to minimize potential operational and financial risks.

- Monitor tax computation to ensure it complies with local tax laws and regulations.

- Prepare consolidated reports for internal and external audits and provide assistance to  

  facilitate the audit process.

Salary per Month: 30,000/-

Executive Assistant : ( Position - 1 )

 (The position requires exercise of initiative, independent judgment and a degree of tact, discretion and curtsey in all communication)

 Qualifications:

*    Masters Degree in any discipline

*    3 years experience of similar work in a reputed organisation

*    Computer literate with advanced skills in using MS Word, Excel & 

      Power  Point and good typing speed (Both Bangla & English)

*    Good command and presentation skills in English & Bangla is a must 

 

Tasks:

-     Handle communications written and verbal for management with a range

      of stakeholders both national & international and public & private

-     Draft correspondence for management and respond to postal mail, email,

      faxes and other types of messages

-     Prepare project reports (monthly, quarterly & Annual) for donors, NGO Bureau,

      Govt. agencies and other relevant authorities

-     Attend meetings and take minuets for management

-     Prepare various reports and summaries for management and external

      stakeholders

-     Maintain a filing system for all management correspondence and documents

-     Assist other activities directed by management

 

Salary per Month: 13,500.00 including other permissible benefit.

 

Selected person will be on three months probationary, and on satisfaction will receive letter of confirmation.
