BILS achieved several productive goals through the project which are as follows:
- Prepared an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) profile covering the legal Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Framework and the key Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) situation in the key economic sectors in Bangladesh.
- A set of recommendation to the authorities for improvement of the legislation, its implementation, and enforcement. ( See at page 9);
- New labor Law has been enacted and the following significant developments have been made;

i. Provision for National safety committee is included;
ii. Range of compensation is widened;
iii. Amount of compensation enhanced;

- Developed a 3 days training manuals on Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHE);
- 1 training manual guide for study circle meeting;
- OHSE Handbook;
- Project Brochure for 4 sectors;
- A pool of 38 trained OHSE trainers;
- Campaign materials such as Poster, Sticker, T-shirt, Cap, Bag and Pen etc

LESSONS LEARNT

- OHS is a vital issue for better working condition and concerned development partners can work together for improving situation. Trade union initiatives can change the situation. This process can be a tool for organizing working people in the workplace
